Steve Huntington has been named Executive Director of the St. James Healthcare Foundation. Huntington will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Foundation and for obtaining and maintaining philanthropic contributions to St. James Healthcare that support the health care needs of residents throughout Southwest Montana.
Chuck Wright, St. James Healthcare CEO, said, “We are pleased to have Steve on board. His expertise and strong financial background will help us take our five-year-old Foundation to the next level.”
Prior to joining the Foundation, Huntington was the manager of a four-county area for the Property Assessment Division of the Montana Department of Revenue. He was the Managing Partner of the Northern Rockies Venture Fund, the only successful venture capital company ever located in Montana. He also was vice president of finance for MSE, Inc., in Butte, and he held senior management positions with the Montana Department of Commerce. Huntington has served as a director on the boards of more than twenty companies and not-for-profit organizations.
A Butte native, Huntington graduated from Butte High School and holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Montana in Missoula.
