During the year, the St. James Foundation hosts fundraising events and events to help raise public awareness about the Foundation and the work it does. These include Freedom Fest every July 3rd in Chester Steele Park, the Spirit Gala in March, and the Ticker Tuner Fun Run/Walk in August. Following is information on these events in 2013.
The largest fundraiser of the year is the Spirit Gala, held in March. This elegant evening of dining and socializing has become a local favorite and one of the Foundation's most important general fundraisers. Live and silent auctions run throughout the evening. This year the Gala was held on March 23 at the Copper King Hotel and Convention Center. The theme was Diamonds and Stetsons. The Gala was a great success and proceeds will be used to purchase equipment for our Cancer Center. Click here for photos of Spirit 2013.
Ticker Tuner Fun Run/Walk
In August, the St. James Foundation hosts the Ticker Tuner, a 5 and 10 K run/walk and a 1 mile walk. The proceeds from the event are used to purchase equipment for the Cardiac Rehab Department and to provide community-wide heart health education and programs. The 2013 Ticker Tuner will be held on August 24. Download a registration form here.
