Patient & Visitor Guide
Welcome and thank you for choosing St. James Healthcare. While you are a patient with us, we will do everything we can to make you as comfortable as possible and to hasten your return home.
We hope the following information will answer questions you and your family may have about your stay and our accommodations. If you have any other questions, any member of our team will be glad to assist you.
What to Bring with You
You are welcome to bring electric razors, toiletries and radios with you. We recommend that you leave your valuables at home (large quantities of cash, expensive jewelry or other valuable personal items). If you do bring them, they should be stored in our safe until you go home. Remember, you are responsible for your valuables if you choose to keep them with you.
Your medical condition may not allow you to take certain medications, even those you usually take every day. Do not bring medication from home but do bring a list of all your medications, the dosage, and the frequency (how often you take them). Your physician will determine what medications you will need while you are here.
We are proud to provide a tobacco-free facility and campus for our patients. This includes all in-door and out-door areas. We encourage you to contact a member of your health care team if you would like a tobacco cessation assistance package.
St. James Healthcare strives to meet your cultural and communication needs. If you do not speak English or need an Interpreter to better understand your care during your hospital stay, please ask your nurse to get an interpreter for you. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Montana Standard is delivered free of charge to patient rooms every day.
Gifts, Flowers and Mail
These items are delivered by volunteers Monday through Friday. After you are discharged from the hospital, your mail will be forwarded to your home address.
