Health Benefits
Full-time or part-time employees may choose benefits that meet their needs from options offered in each category:

Paid Time Off (PTO)
Full-time and part-time employees also accrue Paid Time Off (PTO). Following successful completion of an employee's probationary period, an employee may use accrued Paid Time Off for vacation, holidays, personal illness, or personal days.
Sick Leave
Following successful completion of a probationary period, employees may use accrued sick leave for personal illness, injury or pregnancy.
Spending Accounts
Employees can contribute to the following spending accounts on a pre-tax basis:
- Healthcare Spending Account
Up to $2,500 annually may be placed in the Health Care Spending Account to pay for health care costs not reimbursed by insurance. Funds may be used to pay health plan deductibles and co-payments.
- Dependent Care Spending Account
Up to $5,000 annually may be placed in the Dependent Care Spending Account to pay for expenses incurred to provide childcare for dependent children under the age of 13.
Retirement Plans
Defined Contribution Plan - A defined contribution plan is provided for employees who meet specific eligibility criteria. SCLHS will contribute a percentage of the eligible employee's base salaries into the plan. The plan also provides an employer match of 50% of the first 6% of pay an employee contributes to the Retirement Savings Plan.
Retirement Savings Plan [403(b)] - The Retirement Savings Plan is designed to allow employees to request a portion of their income to be withheld by SVH rather than being paid as taxable income and paid to the Retirement Savings Plan. Payment of state and federal income tax is deferred on the funds and all earned interest until withdrawn at retirement, termination or discontinuance of the plan.
Educational Opportunities
Eligible employees can apply for two different scholarship programs: the Educational Assistance Program and the Tuition Assistance Forgiveness Program. In addition, each employee is eligible to receive $200 annually toward continuing education programs. Many continuing education programs are offered on site.
Credit Union
Mountain West Federal Credit Union at 400 E. Park Street (782-9760) is open to all employees.
Cafeteria Discount
Employees receive a 20% discount in our cafeteria - the Pintler View Café.
Pharmacy
All employees may utilize the on-site Medical Arts Pharmacy for their prescriptions.
